Plan with Me | My Goals For the New Year
Do you make resolutions or set goals? I do both. I have for as long as I can remember. Making resolutions helps me make a fresh start. Goals help me achieve those resolutions. And because I am an obsessive list maker, compiling a list of my goals for 2024 has been on my mind for some time now.

Goals for 2024
personal growth
- Read More: I always set a reading goal and never make it. I came close in 2023, though. Will 2024 be the year?!
- Learn a New Skill: Something crafty. Knitting? Crocheting? Embroidery?
- Set Aside Time For Self-Reflection: I know that journaling and mindfulness will help me understand myself better.
- Pursue a Hobby: I want to dedicate time to activities that I am passionate about – other than blogging, self-care, and helping other women feel more secure, more confident, or more loved. Any ideas?
Relationships
- Strengthen Relationships: I want to be a better wife and mother. I’m not the worst, but I’m not the best. At least I can admit that, right?! Keeping my family at the top of my list is of the utmost importance to me. They are the best part of me!
- Meet New People: As an introvert, this is more than difficult for me. I would love to expand my social circle by joining clubs or groups with shared interests.
Organization & Productivity
- Declutter and Organize: I am fantastic at this at the beginning of the year. Then the fun wears off. I want to tackle one area at a time to create a more organized home for my family and me.
- Prioritize Tasks: I need to use time management techniques to boost productivity at home. I am so easily distracted. Anyone else?

Giving Back
- Volunteer More: I plan to dedicate some of my time to something locally that I care about. What that is, I don’t know yet!
- Donate More: I am a purger, so I regularly contribute to our local food and clothing bank. Now, I need to find an organization that I can financially contribute to.
Wellness & Self-Care
- Practice More Self-Care: I have no problem doing this as I am a self-proclaimed self-care maven. I always find time for relaxation and self-pampering. I will never stop taking care of myself, so I can take care of others.
- Continue to Exercise Regularly: Walking at least a mile a day was life-changing for me in 2023. It’s something that I enjoy and plan to keep doing throughout the new year.
- Stay Hydrated: I seriously need to make an effort to drink enough water each day. I s u c k at it!
- Reduce Stress: I want to practice stress management techniques like meditation or yoga more often. Who wants to join me?
the blog
- Self-Care Rituals: I, of course, will continue to encourage my readers to establish self-care routines. More self-care planners or journals to help them track their self-care practices will be shared.
- Goal Setting and Achievement: I have my own goal to develop goal-setting workbooks or planners to assist women in setting and achieving their personal and professional goals.
- Online Courses: This is a way out there goal, but I am up for it. I want to create an online course on topics related to personal growth and self-improvement.
- Guest Bloggers and Interviews: I am dying to collaborate with experts or inspirational individuals, and other bloggers for guest blog posts!
- Monthly Challenges: I plan to create monthly challenges or themes on the blog to inspire readers to work on different aspects of their own personal growth. These can help women explore their passions, strengths, and values.
Do you set goals for resolutions for the new year? I’d love to hear about them in the comments. Let’s start a conversation!
I had a great 2023, friends. It was exciting and stressful and peaceful and lonely at times, but I grew as a woman, wife, and mother. I had fun. I laughed, I cried, I loved and lived.
Cheers to 2024!
